Jesus FIAT

Mama Mary's Fiat is latin for God's Will Be Done...and often we as people insist on our way, instead of letting God be our Guide for life. When we are troubled or disturbed by God, that is often god knocking on our hearts to see the condition of our faith, courage, love, hope, calling and desire to serve where others are not willing to go. Being disturbed by God is a great distraction from this world's complacency, and disregard for the beloved of God: all of the human race. Jesus is the name above all names, and Jesus is my shield for all of my loved ones even when they are not within my eyesight or ability to hear or touch them no matter what is happening in life. Especially as we become older we feel that what we have learned is enough to guide our lives. but through prayer and living in and out of states of grace in my life I have finally learned that some of our most important decisions must be given to God first before we act on them. So I have made even more prayer time in adoration chapels, and even signed up for 1 weekly adoration at the same location every week, plus an additional mass per week for my vocation and prayer partner so I can be prepared for that vocation and so that she is prepared for me. And of course make time for sunday mass at night, and sacraments of eucharist, and confession often. I h ave found that many churches will allow you to pray in their adoration chapels at odd hours early in the morning  or late at night if you register with them in their pastoral office. For so long I thought it was my decision to choose my vocation, but more recently I lifted up my prayers to God and God answered me and gave me a partner to pray for in a most unexpected way. God is the way, the truth, and the life so my answer was "yes Lord, and fiat."  It changed my course but it made me feel more peaceful and stronger than ever. During my charisms retreat, of st catherine of Sienna the gifted and called, a few years ago at St John Neumann in Irvine my charisms were  identified as: Intercessory Prayer, Music, Writing, Leadership through service, and Pastoring. So I continue to use those charisms daily, and improve them and practice them often. As we practice anything it becomes our way of life in service to people in our lives, or lack of service due to not practicing the gifts and tools given to us to be honed and utilized.
