Brothers and Sisters in christ: when a man courts a woman he should always treat her as a sister in christ regardless of the outcome. We are all part of the same human family under God we are his children. If the courtship only leads to mutual admiration and friendship and respectfully the graceful woman can gently decline the offers of servant hearted knights and potential husbands. The mistake many men make is to take the woman's no as an insult or injury. But an honorable man will always want his sister's in christ to have the best even if it is not him. God prepares each of us to be a gift to the world as blessedly single. Some are called to be prepared to be a gift to one spouse forever until their last breath on earth: blessedly married as husband and wife so 2 can become one body and a song of songs turns one body into 3 --> father, mother, and child a holy trinity and mystery when done for life and promised as god proposed to mary and her yes [fiat] brought the baby Jesus to us.
